Start date:
31 May 2023
Licence Condition
The Licensee must engage a suitably qualified engineer to design a bridge floor infill on the 7.08 Shiploader using all reasonable and feasible measures to capture and contain any excursions of coal from the 7.08 Shiploader bridge structure not associated with the discharge of coal from the spout during the loading process.
The Licensee must install the bridge infill on the 7.08 Shiploader. Due date: 31 December 2023.

On 5 November 2022, an incident occurred at the premises that resulted in pollution of wasters. The EPA made a regulatory response to that pollution incident, which included adding a Pollution Reduction Program (PRP) to this licence, This PRP requires the construction of a bridge floor infill on the 7.08 Shiploader, which may have prevented the November 2022 pollution incident.
